Gender Diversity on Corporate Boards in Nigeria

Increasingly, stakeholders expect the Board of Directors to reflect the diversity of its broaderstakeholder group. Many jurisdictions have encouraged – and some, particularly in Europe,mandated – quotas regarding the percentage of women required on boards. We undertook a surveyto ascertain the level and growth of female representation on the Boards of companies quoted on theNigerian Stock Exchange over a 3-year period - 2013 to 2015.
