A Cursory Look at the NHIA Act 2022

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Act is a welcome improvement on its predecessor, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Act. This article, written by Maureen Nwokolo and Tamilore Akintunde-Johnson, focuses on the administration and implementation of the Act, as well as the provisions that directly affect the intended beneficiaries of this legislation. It is hoped that intentional implementation of the provisions of the NHIA Act will bring Nigeria closer to providing better healthcare for all.
